installation no joy

I tried to install Vista Beta2 to my HP (Compaq) Nx9010 laptop but installation freezes after first boot. All i get is black screen and cursor that blinks. I have dual boot configuration and i created and formatted second Pri partition for Vista. I did repair installation for my XP and got it going. First installation was directly form DVD....no luck. Second time i tried to install from XP...same result.
